Yes I can finally say that after,
47 pints of beans
38 quarts of Tomato Juice
25 quarts of Apple Pie Filling
16 pints of beets
42 quarts of Peaches
8 pints of carrots (for baby food next year)
8 quarts of pickles
28 quarts of Soup and
26 bags of Corn
We are done and the pantry is full!!
My friend asked me if I was trying to be a super woman since I'm prego and have had horrible leg problems. We both decided that all this canning was probably a nesting thing. There is something about canning that is a little addictive. The sense of accomplishment and feeling like you're all ready with your food storage is a great feeling. I love the sound of the those lids sealing. It really "seals" the deal that you did it right and that that's one more bottle you have for the shelves. But when it's all said and done I'm gald it's over. Although, I did mention to Justin that we have more corn in the garden that needs to be done. He wasn't very excited to hear that and even said, "I'm half tempted just to be done with it and give it away." So we'll see who wins that battle.

Missy: I am SO impressed with your canning abilities - must have gotten that talent from Grandma, huh? Wish I could be there to help you. Your leg problem is hereditary I'm afraid. I have horrible varicose veins. Lilly is absolutely, positively beautiful. I'm SO glad that you are keeping your kids so involved and so active with everything. It's really important and a sacrifice on your part I know. I hope our little "Tyce"??? is growing well. We're excited for the news to come. Know that I love and admire you very, very much.
Hugs to all...
