Kinsley's Baptism Day

We had a great weekend celebrating Kinsley's baptism with friends and family. All of our out-of-town family arrived Friday night and we went to Big Judd's for the weekend kickoff. Saturday morning was a lot of hustle and bustle trying to set things up and get things in the oven and ready for the luncheon. Then we were off to the church. Kinsley was the prettiest girl dressed in white. My grandma Alys made my baptism dress and we were fortunate that she was able to make Kinsley's also. Maybe I'll have to get an order in for Lilly's too. Grandma was also able to attend the baptism. Thanks grandma we love you!!
Kinsley does have a story to tell... Both of her grandpa's were the witnesses and grandpa Bert noticed that her right knee decided to pop up out of the water. So down she went again. They got it right that time. She came up to the dressing room smiling from ear to ear and as I wrapped in her towel we had a nice long hug. There are many moments that you never forget in your life, and that for sure will be one of them. Being able to hug her pure, clean little spirit and being able to feel the joy that she felt as she came up out of the font. The Confirmation program was very nice. Dad and grandma did the music, Justin conducted and Jeanne bore her testimony. After the Baptism and program we came home and enjoyed a nice luncheon. I really do love the days where your family and friends come together to celelbrate the day with you. The day is a lot of work to prepare for, but once it's here I love it!!

We had a wonderful day and weekend and hated for it to end. Thank you to all of you that couldn't be here for your love and support from a distance. We missed you all.

So sweet, makes me want to cry!! Such a pretty girl, I am sorry I missed it. It looks like all had a good time and Kinsley made such a good choice! Those pictures of Lilly on Dad's leg are priceless!! Congrats Kinsley, we love you and are happy you chose to be baptized.

She looks so sweet! I wish we could have been there. I should have skipped the freezing cold run. Anyways... I am glad you had a good day. You didn't say if you liked the pumpkin bread. Hopefully it tasted okay!
