Memorial Day Weekend

We had a full weekend of activities this year, starting with Kinsley's play. She was the Momma Bear in the the play and did a great job. On Friday night Jeanne came to town for Kinsley's dance and to get her hair done. It was nice to have her here. I even went to church with no kids. They all wanted to stay home with Grammy and she had to get ready to catch the shuttle back. We also planted the garden on Friday. It was nice to get that done and know that we got our food supply in the ground. Late Friday night we got a call from Justin's Uncle Kent. He was going to be flying through Rexburg on Saturday morning and wanted to give us all a plane ride and an aerial tour of our hometown. This was so cool. Not very many people can say they've seen their house from above. Saturday night was Kinsley's dance recital. She did a great job. Their team took Gran Champions at their last competition at Lagoon. She had a fun year in dance doing the whole competition thing. She really is a natural! WE love you Kinsley. On Sunday we said goodbye to Grammy and then decided to visit the cemeteries. We never did find the Parker Cemetery. Maybe next year...Right Hus?? On Monday we headed north to Kilgore, ID. We have friends that have been talking this place up and we thought we'd check it out. It really is a beautiful area. We took the trail up to Aldus Lake. This isn't supposed to be a hard hike, but because of the mud and snow, it made it a little challenging. I have to admit about half way up I said, "I'm done!!" No one listened to me and kept on treckin. I'm glad they did. It was an amazing view and the kids were so proud of themselves. We were all wet and feet were cold by the time we got down off the mountain, but no one seemed to care. It was a great weekend. It's always sad when dad's go back to work and kids go back to school and the fun has to stop. Now we look forward to the next event.

FUN! I can't believe that you got to fly over your house-that is awesome. Way to go on finishing the hike...you sound like me, Missy! Once you get to the top it is worth it, though.

Ok I am so glad you found my blog cuz I spent a few days looking for yours after I talked to you at their work party!
I am finally getting use to the 3 kid thing and can now feel like I have a few minutes to do "my" thing!
Your garden looks amazing!! If you see two people out there steeling your pea's and corn don't shoot... it is just Lane and I since we dropped the ball this year and didn't plant ours!
Have a FUN summer with the kiddo's being home!
