Thanksgiving in Mexico 2007

We had a great time in sunny Mexico, and as you can see I had the camera in hand for most of the trip. The kids wasted no time wanting to get in the water ASAP!! The Hodges clan all arrived at different times so we waited with excitement for everyone to get there. Most of our days were spent at the pool and the beach. We started our days on the beach then spent the rest at the pool. The pool system at the resort is amazing and is truly a kids paradise. Who am I kidding it's anyones paradise. Laying and playing by the pool all day. What more could you ask for. We were able to attend church on Sunday. It is so awesome to see the gospel in other parts of the world. A lot of us had no idea what was being said, but the feeling of the spirit is the same anywhere you go. Sunday afternoon was spent in downtown P.V. We shopped, enjoyed the culture, and the food. Hey dad, I had some amazing Ceviche. I only wish I had had more. We then headed to PiPi's. This restaurant has the best guacamole and margaritas you'll ever taste. We waited awhile to get in, and it was worth it. Our Thanksgiving was spent in the mountains of Mexico enjoying a Mexican Fiesta that even included turkey. The entertainment was great and the kids had a lot of fun. We had to end our perfect vacation on Friday morning at 4:00 am. Ugh!! What were we thinking?? After enduring the Mexico City airport...which believe me was not an easy thing, we arrived back on US soil. (call for details on the airport catastrophe) We had a great trip and were sad to come home to the frozen tundra. UGH!!
